Path of Exile 2 Martyr Passive Skill Points Guide | How to Get the 124th Skill Point after Patch 0.5.1?
After Path of Exile 2 0.5.1 update, players can sacrifice their level 100 characters to become Martyr of the First Edict. Other players can draw upon this sacrifice to gain additional Passive Skill Points. This is the only way for players to obtain their 124th Skill Point, breaking the Skill Point cap. I will now guide you on how to acquire Martyr Passive Skill Points.
Prerequisites
To obtain Passive Skill Points, someone must first become Martyr of the First Edict. After reaching level 100, go to Site of the Chosen, a mysterious location behind Origin Tower.

Here, players can choose to sacrifice their characters. Afterward, all players on the server will receive a notification that someone has sacrificed their character, and other players will then receive Martyr Passive Skill Points. Because there can only be one Martyr per league, if you want to become this great sacrifice, be sure to check beforehand whether Martyr of the First Edict title for your corresponding league has already been claimed.
Once you receive a notification that a player has become Martyr, you can start preparing to collect your Passive Skill Points. The journey won't be peaceful, and I will now explain in detail what happens.

Reveal Fortress
First, you need to complete Campaign to unlock PoE 2 endgame gameplay. Then, use Waystones to reach the nearby Precursor Tower. Here, you need to find and activate Precursor Beacon, and then place Precursor Tablet on the Tower. Only after completing all this will you have completed the Precursor Tower and summoned Fortress of the Ancients - your next goal and the core area of this journey.
Open Gate
Players enter Ancient Gateway - a type of portal - from Precursor Tower, eventually reaching Fortress. In Fortress, players first find Burning Monolith, where they will learn that to challenge it, they need to obtain the key - Crisis Fragments.
To obtain Crisis Fragments, players must first find a way to enter Enigma Chambers containing them. This is a place that requires completing several quests to enter.
First, you need to go to Western Gateway and Eastern Gateway. Within the map corresponding to each Gateway, you need to:
- Activate all levels
- Reach the top of the tower
- Activate Precursor Artifact at the top of the tower
After completing these, your Waystone will gradually upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 6.
If you are strong enough, you can, of course, go directly to the target location. If you are not so confident, it is recommended to first farm some basic maps, unlock more Atlas Passives, and obtain more Path of Exile 2 currency to upgrade your equipment.
Entering Enigma Chambers
You can enter Enigma Chambers through Eastern Gateway and Western Gateway. During your journey to the two Enigma Chambers, your Waystone will gradually upgrade from Tier 6 to Tier 10.
Players can simultaneously visit both East and West Enigma Chambers (i.e., unlock the large map locations of both first), allowing for a smoother Tier upgrade across more maps. Once your Waystones are upgraded, you can finally enter both East and West Enigma Chambers.
Each Enigma Chamber contains a mini-boss—Doryani in the east and Count Geonor in the west. Defeating them will finally grant you the coveted Ancient Crisis Fragment and Faded Crisis Fragment.
Arbiter of Ash
Bring the two Crisis Fragments you just acquired to Burning Monolith, where you can now enter and encounter Pinnacle Boss - Arbiter of Ash. Pinnacle Boss is the final and most intense challenge encountered in the endgame of Path of Exile 2.
Arbiter of Ash will continuously drop fire bombs during the battle; these are extremely deadly. Only a small area directly beneath each bomb is safe, so be careful with your positioning! Besides the area-of-effect damage of the firebombs, it also uses other methods to inflict a range of damage, including area-of-effect combos, projectile attacks, melee combos, and debuffs - it's terrifying.
Defeating this boss is very difficult, but fortunately, you can keep challenging it, and even if you fail, there will be no penalty.
Site of the Chosen
After defeating Arbiter of Ash, the center of Fortress of the Ancients finally appears. Only then can you go to Origin Tower, behind which lies the mysterious Site of the Chosen - it's not even shown on the map. Here, you can finally claim your Passive Skill Points.
If the system shows that you cannot claim them, it means that no one in the current League has completed the sacrifice yet. Quickly check if Martyr is listed on the leaderboard. If the current League has just opened, don't rush. Improving your character level and upgrading your equipment is key now, while also keeping an eye on the leaderboard for players who have reached level 100. Once someone chooses to sacrifice, you can collect it by following the steps above.
Martyr Passive Skill Points, as a brand new Passive Point system, have sparked heated discussions since their release in Path of Exile 2 0.5.1. Players are eagerly anticipating obtaining these extra Skill Points to enhance their builds, but many are stuck at Pinnacle Boss. Players, keep leveling up!
