Anvil Splitter Finally Has a Use in ARC Raiders! | Anvil Weapon Mod Enables Rocketeer Flip and Instant Kill
Recently, a video of a player shooting a Rocket Thruster, causing it to flip and explode upon impact, has gone viral online. The creator claims this was due to the use of Anvil Mod, which includes Anvil Splitter and Extended Barrel.
Was this a coincidence? What caused this? In the following content, we’ll examine the conditions under which the Rocketeer can be flipped, whether Anvil Weapon Mod is necessary, and whether using this technique is the best way to kill Rocketeer.

In combat mode
Through in-game exploration, the first condition is that Rocketeer must be in combat mode. When Rocketeer is in combat mode, the Rocket Thruster’s speed increases due to accelerated physics. In cruise mode, the Rocketeer will not flip. Therefore, both the Anvil Mod and the Rocket Thruster are essential for flipping the Rocketeer.
Especially when Rocketeer launches its triple attack, its speed increases and its momentum grows. If you shoot Rocket Thruster at this moment, it will flip, and the momentum will be more easily transferred to Rocketeer, resulting in a greater impact upon impact. Therefore, it’s best to be in combat mode yourself and fire Rocketeer’s triple attack at Rocket Thruster for a more powerful explosion.
Shooting Rocket Thruster upwards directly
The second trigger condition is to shoot Rocket Thruster upwards directly, which maximizes the impact on Rocket Thruster’s trajectory. In other words, pushing it into the air from directly below makes it easier to flip. Shooting from the side may significantly reduce the force, preventing a flip.
Rocketeer close enough to the ground
Shooting Rocket Thruster upwards directly at it while in combat mode will cause Thruster to flip, but if it’s relatively far from the ground, it will stabilize after the flip and won’t explode upon impact. Therefore, players must ensure their shots are as vertical as possible while also getting close enough to Rocketeer’s base to ensure it lands on its back and explodes.
However, not all areas will easily make Rocketeer fly lower. For example, on Blue Gate map, you might make a mistake and let it fly higher. In this case, you can lure it to an area with many buildings and high ground, bringing it closer to the ground and creating the conditions for a rollover.
Shooting areas not covered by the outer gray-black armor
The above refers to the rollover caused by shooting the area below Rocket Thruster, because this area is not covered by the outer gray-black armor, directly exposing the inner armor. As seen in the viral video of a Rocketeer rolling over, that player was shooting this part.
However, if you shoot Rocketeer’s outer gray-black armor, it still won’t roll over because this armor absorbs the impact. As long as this armor is intact, shooting it won’t have much effect. Therefore, you need to first break through this armor layer until the white inner curved alloy layer is exposed, and then shoot it. This will have a greater impact on Rocketeer’s flight trajectory, creating conditions for flipping it.
Anvil Weapon Mod
We now know the shooting conditions for flipping Rocketeer, but is it always necessary to use Anvil Splitter with the Extended Barrel? First, we tried using the Aphelion and Osprey weapons with Extended Barrel. These two weapons already have high speed, and adding the Extended Barrel further increases the speed, thus affecting the flight trajectory. Even so, the success rate of flipping the Rocketeer wasn’t very high.
Then, we tried using Anvil Splitter with Extended Barrel, and the results showed that it does indeed make it easier to flip Rocketeer. Using the Anvil Splitter to increase the number of projectiles and Extended Barrel to increase the projectile speed makes this setup even more effective. As long as Rocketeer is in combat mode, you can push it onto anything, even a lamppost or a wall, to inflict massive damage and kill it quickly. This is truly an excellent effect of the Anvil Splitter and Extended Barrel Mod.
Some players have reported that Anvil Splitter is difficult to obtain, having searched for a long time without success. Indeed, Anvil Splitter is a rare item, so getting it won’t be easy. You can try challenging 2x maps or looting the apothecary in Buried City; these methods have a higher probability of yielding it because the mod’s logic is to increase the spawn rate of high-value items.
However, you must understand that it’s a rare item, so finding it isn’t guaranteed. Sometimes you can obtain it through quests, such as Trophy Display project, which rewards three; but sometimes you might get nothing. Therefore, the easiest way is to craft it directly using ARC Raiders blueprint. As long as you have enough materials, you can equip the mod immediately!
Advantages of Anvil Weapon Mod for killing Rocketeers
If you want to quickly kill Rocketeers, you should consider this Anvil Weapon Mod, consisting of Anvil Splitter and Extended Barrel. It’s incredibly easy; simply push Rocketeer onto anything to kill it, significantly reducing kill time.
If you shoot a Rocketeer vertically in combat mode without armor, it will flip over, crash to the ground, and explode. Under these specific conditions, you can not only deal extra damage but also potentially kill it instantly. Therefore, this mod is definitely the best choice when encountering Rocketeers.
