Player Feedback: The Endgame In Path Of Exile 2 Would Be Better With Some Changes!
At the end of last year, Path of Exile 2 was released into Early Access and became a popular choice for many players who love MMORPGs. And in the first month of the new year, the developers also released its first major patch, which solved a lot of problems and bugs that appeared at the initial launch and implemented or acted on player feedback in some key areas.
Among these improvements, the most praised by players is the implementation of the purpose of overwriting Runes and slots like Cores with different slots, which used to be the biggest problem for players when exploring Rune System. Other quality of life improvements make players have a smoother and more comfortable exploration environment.
So far, there have been no huge unforgivable errors in POE 2, but many players in the community and social media have responded that they want to add some new features or improvements to the endgame of this sequel, which may make players more convenient to play in it. In order to enable players to realize this wish as soon as possible, this guide will list some changes that players want based on the feedback of existing players, so that developers can see the needs of players as soon as possible.
A Waystone Stash Tab Is Needed In Endgame
When you complete all the campaigns and the content in Cruel difficulty in POE 2 Early Access, you will be brought to Ziggurat Encampment, which means that you have entered the endgame stage. Here, Encampment can be regarded as an action base. You can unlock numerous map nodes in Atlas through different levels of Waystones to explore different game content, because they all have unique league mechanisms or other modifiers.
Waystones in the endgame stage are more like keys. Only with them can you traverse an entire Atlas and complete all tasks. For example, you need Burning Monolith and three Citadels to unlock Atlas passive skill tree or reach the key part of Atlas. Additionally, Distilled Emotions in the game can give Waystones more modifiers or higher levels, so that you can farm high-value POE 2 Exalted Orbs from unlocked maps.
But this also means that you may have a lot of Waystones of the same type or level in your inventory, so players are very eager to set up a Stash Tab here for them to store them specifically, and group them by keywords or levels for their convenience.

There Should Be Better Map Or Biome Visibility In Atlas
I believe that not all players explore POE 2 simply because of the very exciting battles it contains. There must be some players who are attracted by the mysterious visual effects, but in fact this large-scale MMO does not pay too much attention to this aspect in the endgame stage.
Although some new features were added to Atlas explored in the endgame in Patch 0.1.1 some time ago, such as each map node explains the biological system in it, allowing players to learn more about these unexplored maps. This does take the player experience to the next level, but it would be a fundamental change if it was accompanied by a short video showing a sample layout of the area and its mini-map.
Because some of the league mechanics in POE 2, such as Breach or Ritual, are area-based, if you see multiple narrow corridors in this video or in the illustrations, your rewards on this map are much lower than in other maps. At this time, you can use Waystones infused with special mechanics in other maps to achieve the maximum POE 2 Currency return.
Endgame Should Have Easier Ways To Die
As just mentioned, your exploration difficulty in the endgame is increased, so your death is inevitable. In the current game, once you die, you will lose all your experience points in this exploration and any loot you didn’t have time to pick up. The original intention of the developers was to allow players to learn how to improve their characters and builds in this way, but this is almost impossible in actual exploration.
In many cases, players die because of the delay in changing gear or the delay in operation, and then they will see the death replay screen that does not really explain what happened, which can be very annoying. On top of that, although POE 2 provides players with a pause button, if the player’s network is poor and the game is disconnected, the game will automatically pause and the death may occur in it.
So reducing the punishment for character death as much as possible may give players some confidence in the already difficult endgame content and thus generate more interest in exploration. If this excellent feature is spread, it may even attract more novice exiles to join the huge player base.
These are some opinions and feedback from current players on the endgame in POE 2. Although it is not clear whether the developers can take these improvements into consideration, it is always worth looking forward to. I hope you can have a more enjoyable gaming experience in this sequel that is expected to be the best version!
